The Balanced Mind Foundation is a parent-led, not-for-profit, web-based membership organization of families raising children diagnosed with, or at risk for, early-onset bipolar disorder. The on-line community includes parents, researchers, medical doctors, neuroscientists, social workers, therapists, civic leaders, teachers, and others. The organization can recommend speakers for events and presentations on the topic of early-onset bipolar disorder.

The purpose of the International Society for Bipolar Disorders (ISBD) is to be the Internationally recognized forum to foster ongoing international collaboration, education, research and advances in the treatment and in all aspects of bipolar disorders. The Society is open to the entire spectrum of mental healthcare professionals including basic and clinical researchers, psychiatrists, pharmacologists, psychologists,social workers, students and trainees in these fields, as well as other mental health professionals, persons affected by bipolar disorder and their families. The website provides basic information about the association and ways to get involved.
